Community Investment that Makes an Impact

We support a wide range of charitable, non-profit and community groups in meaningful, impactful ways – contributing millions of dollars, and thousands of employee volunteer hours, that add lasting value to the lives of Manitobans through festival and event sponsorships and donations.

Employees Giving Back

We encourage volunteerism and community fund raising, and create opportunities for our employees to help out in the organizations and neighbourhoods they care about. Every day, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries employees volunteer and make payroll donations through our Charitable Giving Campaign, all of which make Manitoba a better place to live.

  • Volunteerism – employees and alumni, and their friends and family, volunteer at events we sponsor in their communities and through the Employee-Driven Volunteering program, employees can volunteer with a registered charity or community sport group of their choice, and earn funds for their charity or for KidSport Manitoba.
  • Charitable Giving – employees donate thousands of dollars to Canadian charities through payroll donation.

Here's how we helped in 2020/21:

  • 4,133 volunteer hours and $77.6 thousand donated by employees through annual charitable campaign

Basic Eligibility

To save you time, please check your organization’s eligibility before applying to a program. The following applies to all of our programs. We'll contact you about 30 days after we receive your application.

  • Meeting the following criteria does not guarantee approval for sponsorship/donation.

To be considered, the applying organization must meet the following criteria:

Consideration will be given to community organizations applying to the Festival Program, host committees for major events taking place in Manitoba, and organizations that have a direct business relationship with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries; and

  • the majority of funds raised must stay in the Province of Manitoba and primarily benefit Manitobans.
We are unable to provide sponsorship support for:

  • conferences, seminars and workshops;
  • events targeted primarily to children;
  • research projects;
  • capital funding, or core and/or ongoing operational costs;
  • endowment campaigns or projects;
  • political parties, political initiatives or candidates;

  • events/organizations of a narrow scope, e.g. limited audience and demographic;
  • fraternal organizations;
  • advocacy organizations; and
